Queensryche Fires Geoff Tate? Well, Then They Are No Longer Queensryche...

Queensryche have reportedly just ditched Geoff Tate as their vocalist, and while the replacement is one hell of a great singer (Todd La Torre from the amazing Crimson Glory), it will never be the ‘Ryche to most of us without Tate. Creators of simply one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of rock and metal (“Operation:Mindcrime”), the band have gone through some different eras creatively. The last couple albums have been quite bland, if I do say so, but to me most of their other albums have ran the gamut from GREAT to AT LEAST INTERESTING SOMEWHAT. In my opinion, again with nothing but great respect for La Torre, the band needs to change their name if they are gonna move forward in a different direction.
